Angie Bailey 3rd Dan WTF
Central Academy Instructor
-
STARTED TRAINING
29th November 1993 – The day the club was established.
-
FAVOURITE TECHNIQUE
Can't do this one – yet!!!! But it has to be the 540 turning kick.
-
BEST TKD ACHIEVEMENT
Passing my 1st Dan . I got to blue belt then stopped training for 9 months' as I was pregnant. When I
started back training I fell pregnant again and then again. So after having 3 babies in less than 3 years I never thought I would be able to continue training and achieve my black belt.
-
ULTIMATE TKD GOAL
When the kids get a bit older I would love to run my own Academy class and they could be assistant Instructors. Ultimately (by the age of 60) to become an International Referee and travel the world officiating at International Championships.(You've got to have a dream!)

The first Scottish Open hosted by Central, Scotland v's Korea, Central demo at Grangemouth Complex in aid of CHAS charity, passing 3 rd Dan in Korea under Grandmaster Kim, to name but a few.
-
ANY OTHER INTERESTS
Alternative healing therapies – Reiki, Meditation, Indian Head Massage etc. Also enjoy running.
-
FAVOURITE FILMS -
JAWS & GREASE because they remind me of the 70's and the big screen and excitement of a new movie. I still remember how terrified I felt watching the shark eat the little boy Alex on his lilo. Even today I can still watch Grease and feel soppy when Danny & Sandy get back together!! I'm just a big softy!
-
FAVOURITE SINGER/BAND
This was a hard decision to make. I love music and enjoy bands like the Artic Monkeys, The View, The Killers (favourite song at the mo is their cover of Dire Straits' Romeo & Juliet), Green Day, RHCP & Guns & Roses.
But my consistently favourite singer/band has to be Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones.
