Junior European Championships
Central Academy members Ross Eden and Chris Sweeten compete this weekend in Sweden at the Junior European Championships. Chris’s division, -48kg is on Friday (29th May) and Ross’s, -73kg is on Sunday (31st May). Good luck to the boys. It would be a fantastic achievement if they could reach the medal stages.
Grading
The next coloured belt grading will be at Carronshore on Sunday 21st June at the later than usual start time of 1.00pm. Forms, fees and licence books to be in by Thursday 18th June.
The date for the July grading has been changed to Sunday 19th July.
4th June Carronshore Classes Off
Due to Carronshore Community Centre being used for the elections on Thursday 4th June, there will be no Central Academy classes that night.
BTCB Regional Poomsae Training
There will be a regional poomsae training session at Carronshore on Sunday 7th June from 10am to 12pm. All academy members from Green Belt and above are welcome to attend. Training fees are £7.00 and students must bring along an in-date licence.
Family Fun Day
Our annual family fun day will be held at Carronshore on Saturday 13th June from 2pm to 5pm. Tickets and full details will be available soon.
Caledonian Cup
The Caledonian Cup will be held in Glasgow on Sunday 14th June. There are sparring categories for all ages and grades. Entry details and fees to be in by Tuesday 9th June.
Northern Ireland Poomsae Championships
Deadline for entries for the Belfast competition (Saturday 20th June) is Monday 8th June.
Chi Championships
Deadline for entries for the Chi Championships (Sunday 21st June) is Tuesday 9th June.
