23/01/10 Olympic Taekwondo seminar
On Sunday 7 March we are going to host an Olympic Taekwondo seminar with professional coach George Ramos and the reigning heavy weight world champion Modibo Keita.
Registration for the seminar will start at 12pm at Stenhousemuir sports centre. We will start the first part of the seminar at 12.15pm until 2pm. All grades and ages will be welcome and the registration fee will be £15.
Spectators will be allowed for this part only with £5 entry fee. There will be a discount for families.
At 2pm we will continue with the advanced seminar and that will be open to junior and senior athletes over 13 years old as well as coaches. Registration fee will be £35. Keep in mind that paying to take part at the
advanced seminar entitles you to join the first session too.
George Ramos
George has coached many successful fighters in France and other countries. His remarkable results have led
to him receiving the ‘Best Coach’ award by WTF at the 2009 World Championship and being inducted in the Taekwondo Hall of Fame.
Modibo Keita
Modibo is a 6’ 7’’ giant who won his first world title in 2007 and received WTF’s ‘Best Fighter’ award. Modibo qualified first for the 2008 Olympic games and won a second world championship title in 2009.
This is the first time a reigning world champion will be in Scotland to give a seminar and it will be a unique opportunity for all of us to enjoy a great day and further our knowledge.
