31/03/10 SCOTTISH CUP

We had another very successful Scottish Cup at Grangemouth Sports Complex on 14th March. 

The competition has been running for12 years and every year it grows in status.  There were some excellent competitors from all over the UK making the standard of matches higher than ever before.  A huge team of helpers and officials from Central Academy ensured the day ran very smoothly and the organisation was second to none. 

The BTCB referee Director Mr Brian Tilley commented it was the best domestic tournament he had been involved in for many years.

There were some excellent performances from Central Academy players and the team came away with 2 Gold, 6 Silver and 5 Bronze medals.  The Scottish Cup Champions were Jordyn Smith and Charlie Kinnon.  Silver medallists were; Hassan Haider, Niamh Scott, Paige Bates, Graeme Whiteside, Kristian Kinnon and Kirsty Yorston.  Bronze medals went to Naomi Strathie, Robin Graham, Kirsten McKay, Alan Haston and Lewis Chiappa.
